The belgian constitution protects very effectively the privacy of mail and freedom of expression. As somme trials have shown, this protection doesn't work effectively for new media. TV journalist are less protected than written press journalist, telephone calls aren't as well protected than post mail,etc. Every law passed on new technology in belgian give far less right to the bcitizen than the parts of constitution regarding "old" technologies (Post mail, written press,...).
