Both Showcase and History Television will be merged with the Company's current Broadcast operations, which includes HGTV (Home & Garden Television) Canada Inc. and Life Network Inc. Shares of all four companies had been held in trust since the September 1998 merger of Alliance Communications Corporation and Atlantis Communications Inc., pending the CRTC's approval.
