Spanish from Spain and the language of Andalucía

During your stay, you will hear the pronunciation and vocabulary used in Spain, as well as characteristics associated with Andalucía.

Your course may address:

  • The use of vosotros
  • Vocabulary commonly used in Spain
  • Distinctions between tú, usted and vosotros
  • Andalusian pronunciation
  • Formal and informal registers
  • Expressions heard in Sevilla
  • Differences between European and Latin American Spanish
  • Vocabulary suitable for international communication
  • Strategies for understanding regional accents

This gives you a firm basis for communicating in Spain without reducing your ability to understand Spanish elsewhere.
