Your day

Ticos (as Costa Ricans are called) start their day early because the sun rises early.

Your day will begin at 8 a.m. with breakfast in the company of our other guests and your Spanish teachers. After breakfast and depending on the day of the week, there will be classes or excursions to explore Costa Rica’s treasures.

Lunch is served at around 1 o'clock either in restaurants or at the villa.

In the afternoon, after a well-deserved nap, you will have more classes or hands-on activities in Spanish, of course.

The day will end around seven.

Jacó

Located on the west central coast of Costa Rica, this once-small surfing village has become the most developed beach town in the country.

With over 70 restaurants, bars, 3 casinos and an 18-hole championship golf course, it is also known as the fishing capital of Costa Rica.

Jaco is only a 1.5-to-2 hour drive from the capital city of San José and the Juan Santamaría International Airport (SJO).

Private airport (or San Jose) pick up and drop off is included in the price.

Costa Rica

With a population of just over 5 million, Costa Rica is one of the smallest Spanish-speaking countries in the world.

However, it is the third most popular destination for learning Spanish, after Spain and Mexico.

The country is known for its natural beauty and the fact that it has no army.

This has resulted in Costa Rica being one of the few Latin American countries with a Human Development Index of 0.809, considered a very high ranking.
