Because of its location, history, and the strong influence of Mayan culture, the Yucatán Peninsula has always been a little different from the rest of Mexico.
With your Spanish teachers, you will discover what makes Yucatán so different.
The Spanish Classes
Classes are one-on-one or two-on-one, depending on whether you are coming alone or as a couple. This allows us to focus on your specific needs and Spanish learning goals.
The Experiences
Excursions are taken as a group. However, each student will be accompanied by his or her own Spanish teacher. This allows you to experience the local culture and practice your Spanish.

In the evening, our guests can gather around the pool area for a meal and a drink. Or, if you prefer, you can have dinner downtown: we are just a short walk from the best restaurants.
The venue
For this special we will be taking over a historic mansion built in 1900 and recently restored. The mansion is located within walking distance to downtown Merida.
All rooms have air conditioning, private bathroom and king-size bed.

Your day
Your day begins at 9 AM with breakfast shared with your fellow guests and your Spanish instructors. Depending on the day, the morning may include engaging classes or exciting excursions to discover the natural and cultural wonders of Yucatán.
At around 2 PM, lunch will be served—either at a local restaurant or back at the mansion. After a well-earned siesta, the afternoon continues with more Spanish immersion through classes or interactive activities.
The day winds down around 8 PM, though you’re welcome to stay and enjoy the mansion’s terrace.
The Experiences
Uxmal
Uxmal was the capital of a late-classic Maya state around AD 850-925. It is considered one of the most representative Mayan cities and has been declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Celestún
One of Yucatán's largest natural reserves, home to a wide variety of animals and birds, including a large colony of flamingos.
Sotuta de Peón
This 19th century hacienda, completely restored and in working order, preserves the traditions of an era of prosperity during the boom of the henequen industry. We will also visit a cenote on the property where you can swim and observe exceptional fauna and flora.
Gastronomy
Merida is home to many regional dishes with roots in traditional Mayan cooking with European and Caribbean influences. During your stay you will experience the best of Mexican gastronomy.
